Family Engagement Specialist  - Gordon

Part-time - Part-year, 33 hours a week – below .75% FTE

 Responsibilities: Provides information, support and encouragement to parents of children ages 3 to 5.  Conduct home visits, group meetings, screening, assist families in identifying and meeting their own goals. Facilitates parent functions and educational meetings. Provide linkages to a network of resources. Must recruit participants, track health requirements and input data. Must be a team player and a strong people person. 

Qualifications:  High school diploma or GED required. AA or BA in Family Studies, Social work, Early Childhood Development or related field preferred. Two years’ experience in the Human Service or Early Childhood field preferred. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must be self-directed, multi-task, able to coordinate completion of assigned tasks, be flexible and be willing to accept new challenges. Must pass a background checks. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable. Must be at least 21 years of age. 

Pay and Benefits: Starting wage is $14 - 16 an hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Nights and weekends off! Summers off!
