Position:  Head Start Education Coordinator 

Full-Time, Full-Year, 40 hours a week – above .75% FTE

Responsibilities: The Head Start Education Coordinator supervises, mentors and grows the teaching staff for NCAP's Head Start Preschool centers. Must monitor and maintain compliance of the Administration of Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) Head Start Performance Standards and other applicable regulations. Will assist in supporting Head Start staff concerning issues of classroom environments, teaching skills, curriculum support and transitioning, behavior management and including children with special needs. Conducting regular classroom observations at our various centers will be a must, you will have the use of an Agency vehicle and fuel card for all work related travel. The position can be based out of the Chadron OR Alliance office. 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in either ECE with coursework equivalent to ECE and experience teaching preschool age children are a must. Education coordinators must have the capacity to assist other teachers in the implementation and adaptation of curricula to the group and individual needs of children in Head Start classrooms. CDA, CPR and First Aide Certifications are a plus! Must be able to pass background checks. Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable. 

Pay and Benefits: Starting wage is $1840 to $2160 biweekly salary, depending upon qualification and experience.
