Position: Home Visitor - Sheridan County

Full Time, Full Year: 40 Hours per week - above .75 FTE

Preferred Start Date: Immediately

Responsibilities: The prospective candidate must enjoy working with a low-income population. Home Visitors work with pregnant woman and families with children ages 0-3. Home Visitors promote school readiness, work to achieve healthy prenatal outcomes for women, enhance the development of very young children, strengthen the parent-child bond, improve family relationships and engage parents in their children's learning. Duties will include building family partnerships, assisting families in the development and achievement of goals, providing educational materials to families and incorporating parent curriculum. Home Visitors work flexible hours to meet the needs of the families they are serving. 


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Home-Base CDA credential; or comparable credential; or equivalent coursework as part of an Associates or Bachelors degree required.  
  • Experience in Human Services or Early Childhood preferred. 
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills required. 
  •  Must pass background checks
  • Valid Driver's License and Insurable.

Pay and Benefits: Starting wage is $15.70 to $17.20 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Monthly Benefit Dollars available which can be used towards one or more of the following options - BCBS Group Health Insurance, Group Dental, Group Vision, Group Retirement and or Voluntary Group Life Insurance. Employee paid Group Aflac plans are also available. Generous sick, vacation and bereavement leave. 15 paid federal holidays observed per year.
