Responsibilities: The prospective candidate must enjoy working with a low-income population. This position will schedule, interview and evaluate the needs of individuals and families, complete emergency assistance applications for utilities and/or rental assistance, and deliver other services through case management. Developing suitable case management plans to help clients become stable and avoid homelessness is a key function of this position. The candidate will also learn about community organizations that can provide additional aide to clients, maintain a referral list, and provide referrals to appropriate agencies/organizations when further assistance is needed. Must become knowledgeable about current policies and regulations governing eligibility for clients and provide assistance in accordance with established schedules and guidelines. Duties will include assisting with the Extra Helpings Food Pantry and Mobile Food Pantry. This will include ordering and bagging food and unloading the food truck. The prospective candidate will be working in the Emergency Services Office in Valentine, NE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass background checks
- Valid Driver's License and Insurable
- Computer experience necessary
- Strong Data Entry Skills

Pay and Benefits: Starting wage is $15.75 - 16.50 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Generous sick, vacation and holiday pay available!
Flexible Schedule! Hours and days worked can be negotiated during the interview.
