Northwest Community Action Partnership is committed to continuing serving the communities in our service areas during this very difficult time.  Some services may be impacted as we follow Panhandle Public Health, CDC and other recommendations.  

* NCAP's administrative office at 270 Pine Street in Chadron is closed to the public.  Staff continue to work safely to coordinate and carry out selected programs and agency functions. 

Community Cares Food Distribution Program

This program has been EXTENDED THRU JUNE. Same locations, frequency and day of the week as shown below.


Food Pantries

NCAP's food pantries provide food to households with limited access to food.  

* Our food pantries are distributing food during the following hours (note that the buildings are closed to the public and distribution is currently by drive up, but delivery is available to those in need- please contact your local pantry for more details. and check here regularly for the latest information):

Alliance Extra Helping Food Pantry

Chadron Extra Helpings Food Pantry - 7/27/20 This pantry updated its hours in response to usage during COVID-19

Wednesdays 10:30 to 12:00, 1:00 to 4:00 (Temporary hours in response to Coronavirus)  Come to this pantry during scheduled hours, stay in your car, and call 747-2200 - food will be brought out to you. If you don't have a phone, just honk your horn.

Appointments Available

Each site will distribute a box of food to each enrolled client.  If you need food or are elderly or have an underlying health condition and need grocery or prescription pick up, food delivery, etc., please CLICK HERE to complete an online inquiry form.  A staff member will contact you within a couple of days to discuss your needs.

Emergency Services

* The Weatherization program has started going back into homes as of 6/1/2020 with safety precautions.  Please click here for an on-line application. For Weatherization inquiries, please call 308-430-1162
