Northwest Community Action Partnership is committed to continuing serving the communities in our service areas during this very difficult time.  Some services may be impacted as we follow Panhandle Public Health, CDC and other recommendations.  

* NCAP's administrative office at 270 Pine Street in Chadron is closed to the public.  Staff continue to work safely to coordinate and carry out selected programs and agency functions.  

NCAP's food pantries provide food to households with limited access to food.  In response to Coronavirus, food distribution has been increased to one time per week per household.  The distribution will revert to once a month when this special situation is resolved.

* Our food pantries will distribute food during the following hours (note that the buildings are closed to the public and distribution is currently by drive up. This may change so please check this page regularly for the latest information):

Each site will distribute a box of food to each enrolled client.  If you need food or are elderly or have an underlying health condition and need grocery or prescription pick up, food delivery, etc., please CLICK HERE to complete an online inquiry form.  A staff member will contact you within a couple of days to discuss your needs.

* All Head Start centers in Alliance, Chadron, and Gordon are closed until May 1, unless otherwise advised by the Panhandle Public Health District.  The Head Start Center in Valentine is closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. However, our Head Start Teachers and Home Visitors have developed YouTube channels where daily lessons are being posted for their students.  Follow us on Facebook to access the links to these lessons for use with your own preschool aged children.  Staff are also delivering activity packets and supplies such as crayons, glue sticks and paper the Head Start students.  Finally, NCAP staff are delivering meals to students to ensure they are still receiving the meals they would have normally had during the school day.
