Box Butte County - Alliance – 308-762-4960 

Alliance Extra Helpings Food Pantry hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm 

Dawes and Sioux Counties - Chadron – 308-747-2180 

 Chadron Extra Helpings Food Pantry is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. 

Sheridan County - Rushville – 308-327-2877 Open Thursdays from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm 

Cherry County - Valentine – 402-376-1886 - Open Monday 1-3, Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Sioux County - no office - contact the Chadron outreach office at 308-747-2180

Services are provided for all county low-income residents.  Clients must meet all eligibility requirements. 

• Rental assistance  - up to 3 to 9 months depending on the services area. 
• Rental Arrearage – up to 6 months of rental arrearage
• Rental Deposit – not more than two months’ rent
• Utility Assistance

Need Legal advice? 

Adam Harper, Staff Attorney, Legal Aid Nebraska, is always at 127 W 2nd Street, Chadron, the first Tuesday of the month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  Adam advises the Native American population on landlord/tenant, collections, family law, and public benefits.
