Board meetings are held the third Thursday of each month in the conference room at 270 Pine Street in Chadron, Nebraska.
Northwest Community Action Partnership (NCAP) is a community benefit agency formed in 1965 to carry out the goals of Title II of the Federal Economics Opportunity Act of 1964. The agency is one of the nine Community Action Agencies in Nebraska (CAN), and is governed by a twelve to fifteen member Board of Directors consisting of individuals both elected by the citizens and appointed by various government and civic organizations from across our service area. The agency provides services in Box Butte, Cherry, Dawes, Sheridan, and Sioux counties. The administrative offices are located in Chadron. Programs and services offered by NCAP include Community Services/Family Development, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Foster Grandparents, Head Start& Early Head Start, Sheridan County Public Transportation, Housing and Weatherization.

Programs
Community ServicesOutreach Offices work to prevent homelessness by providing emergency rent assistance payments, food pantry and commodity food distributions, and clothing and household goods for income qualified citizens.
Weatherization ProgramWeatherization works to lower the cost of living by providing Weather-stripping, caulking and several types of insulation applications at little or no cost to income eligible persons with qualified homes.
Head Start ProgramHead Start works to strengthen the abilities of children 3 to 5 years old and to strengthen their families. Federal income guidelines are followed. No fees are charged.
Early Head Start ProgramEarly Head Start works to promote the well being of children 0 to 3 and their mothers. Services are provided through a home based model and include nutrition, social services, education and parent involvement. Income and birth date verification are required. No fees are charged.
Senior Volunteer ServicesSenior volunteer Services work to provide opportunities for people over 55 to volunteer and share their valuable knowledge with youth and the community. Retired & Senior Volunteers Programs and Foster Grandparent Programs are a vital part of our community. Join today.
Sheridan County Public Transportation SystemSheridan County Public Transportation System is a community based service designed to meet the needs of Sheridan County residents who do not have regular access to transportation. The service is open to all persons who have a need for it. No fare is collected but donations are always accepted.
