Position: Head Teacher - Alliance

Full-time, Part-year, 40 hours a week – above .75% FTE (open until filled)

Job Summary: Position starting August 2026

We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Head Start Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Head Start Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and their families by providing quality education and social services.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool children
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
• Assess and monitor children’s progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to support children’s individual needs and ensure program goals are met
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a Head Start or similar preschool program
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Passion for working with young children and families from diverse backgrounds 

Pay and Benefits: Starting wage is $18 - $22 an hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Generous sick, vacation and holiday pay available. Nights and weekends off. Summers off.
